Dr. James Parrish
At Mid-Louisiana Surgical Specialists, board certified bariatric surgeon James Parrish, FACS, FASMBS, has devoted his career to helping people overcome morbid obesity. He performs leading techniques, such as gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and gastric banding, to help individuals lose weight and improve their health as safely and as successfully as possible. A graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Dr. Parrish has completed an extensive amount of postgraduate training in bariatric surgery, including a Bariatric Mini Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. Additionally, he is a member of a number of prestigious medical organizations, including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Parrish is also the President of the Medical Executive Committee at Dubuis Hospital. As a passionate provider of healthcare, he makes it his goal to give patients the tools and support they need to lose weight, and, most importantly, to keep it off.
